What is Discount Calculator?

A discount calculator helps you compute the discount amount, final price, and total savings when shopping. It works with percentage discounts and fixed amount discounts.

How It Works

The calculator takes the original price and discount percentage or amount to compute the savings and final price.

Formula & Calculation Method

Discount = Original Price × (Rate/100). Final = Original - Discount. Savings = Discount

For multiple discounts, each discount applies sequentially. The final savings is the difference between original and final price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about this calculator below.

Discount amount = Original Price × (Discount%/100). Final Price = Original Price - Discount Amount. For example, 20% off ₹1,000 = ₹200 discount, final price ₹800.

If you know the final price and discount percentage: Original Price = Final Price / (1 - Discount%/100). For example, if final price is ₹800 after 20% off: Original = 800/0.8 = ₹1,000.
